New "headboard"

For the longest time I've been wanting a new headboard for our bed, or well A headboard I should say because we've never had one since we got the Queen sized bed. I'd seen this years ago about framing fabric in an old frame in order to create the illusion of a headboard. I finally did this today and here's how it turned out! Total cost was about 12 bucks for this and Im very much liking it! I got the poster frame a couple weeks ago from the thrift store for 3 bucks! I bought the fabric at my favorite store, Hobby Lobby of course! It was 8.99 a yard but on sale for 30% off. I actually bought 2 yards because I plan to recover my vanity stool with the same fabric! ..But thats for a later blog ;)

This is the frame after I removed the glass and cardboard backing.

Adding fabric to Backing

Finished! Now to hang!

Over bed :)

Not the Best picture of Lorelei or her drool on the bed but she had just woke up from a nap :)

I plan on getting new bedding in the future so I'll have to keep it something that matches but it was so easy to do you could always change it up! I think its darling!

Alright Guys and Gals. I'm off to bed! Goodnight!

ps. Here's a few pics from my wish list from Kirklands this week!

IN LOVE with this chair.

& a 12.98 nice, framed mirror any size? WHAT A STEAL! Just trying to figure out where I'd put it!
